About
smolkapps is a workshop, not a startup. Each tool here started as a small itch — a thing that should take one click but somehow needs an account, a paywall, or a sketchy uploader everywhere else — and became a focused little app that just does the one thing.
The bias is toward tools that run entirely on your own device: rotate a PDF, strip formatting from pasted text, clean tracking parameters off a link, and the file or text never touches a server. A few tools (bank-statement conversion, live SEC data) do talk to a backend because they have to; where that's the case it's noted on the tool itself, and none of them ask you to sign up.
New tools get added as they're built. If one saves you a few minutes, that's the whole point.
